Hi I’m Bec McIntosh, chief dot connector and founder of Career Jam.

Helping people grow, transition and transform their careers in an age of AI
is a major passion project for me.

I am a qualified career practioner who has spent many years working with professionals and helping them navigate challenging times and breakthrough.

While I have an amazing day job leading AI and Sustainability Communities of Best Practice for Australia’s oldest economic think tank, Career Jam is my jam.

I’ve had my own long and winding career road.
The Jam brings together my love of career development and technology, connecting with amazing people, teaching and sharing advice. I get to interview AI experts and professionals and researchers who have been on that career journey of change, big and small and researchers who deep dive into all things career transformation to help shape and plan your next career moves.

Everyone has their own career path and many of those I have worked with have faced obstacles, detours and periods of inertia. AI is making the jobs market and how to plan for the future increasingly "interesting”, requiring new approaches and agility.

Careers are messy, hardly ever linear and are always part of bigger questions:

- Who am I?

- What makes work meaningful?

- How I can I feel like what I am doing matters?

- How can I align my career and a good life?

-How can I design a career path where I choose the path?

-Will I have a job if AI takes over my ind?

We will be on the journey together.
